I returned late Saturday night after attending the Stokes County Arts Council's annual art auction held near Germanton Gallery on Town Fork Creek in Stokes County.

I was invited by artist Frank Duncan (http://www.artworkoffrankduncan.com/ ) to come and plein air paint during the auction. Frank, myself and a few other artists did plein air paintings on site that were then auctioned at the end of the day to benefit the arts council.

I had a blast and was able to see paintings from the gallery done by artists I have admired since art school. All in all it was a great day!

Good to know about Germanton Gallery & SCAC ART Auction. I am pleased to find this post. I am also an artist and at the local event space San Francisco would also be hosting very first art expo. Hopefully it will also be a successful event.
